Efficient Anonymous Authentication for Wireless Body Area Networks

Advances in integrated circuit and wireless communication technologies are making body area networks (WBANs) an increasingly important medical paradigm. By collecting, uploading, processing real-time physical parameters, WBANs assist clients better recognizing managing their bodies. Besides conveniences it brings, facing the risk of clients’ privacy leakage during data transmission. Anonymous authentication schemes were proposed to resolve this challenge, latest ensure that even if a WBAN client’s private key is exposed, previous session keys generated by client cannot be compromised (known as forward security). Unfortunately, secure need bilinear pairing operations, which undesirable computation-resource-bounded WBANs. Furthermore, property, once sessions shouldn’t identified (dubbed anonymity), hasn’t been considered existing works. In response above challenges, paper, we propose identity-based authenticated encryption method without pairing, based on method, construct anonymous scheme. Subsequent security performance analyses demonstrate our (including anonymous) under random oracle model, practical with limited resources.
